My favorite place in the world!
So much to see & do!!!
It *was* a beautiful day. I was at the Getty yesterday, and it was crowded. Looks like there was a big crowd there, too.
At the Getty Villa or the one downtown? Either way, I'm sure you had phenomenal weather--hence, the huge crowds! :)
Downtown. They had a Vermeer painting on exhibit that my sister (an amateur artist) wanted to see. I admired the view from the hilltop again. :>)
It looks fun--and sooooo different from the sights around here, lol.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's unique to this area, especially this time of year. That's one of the things I really enjoy about the Internet: It offers us the opportunity to visit our friends, from the comfort of our own homes. :)
I loved living at Venice Beach!
You lived there? What a wonderful, wide- and wild-eyed experience that must've been!! (Sorry if you already mentioned this and I've forgotten.)
I don't know if I ever mentioned it--I would expect no one to remember it if I did. But yep, for a year before I married. Every Sunday I would ride my bike the entire length of the bike path, and it was like watching a movie, life was so interesting there.
It *is* a movie set, with a cast of characters like no other. :)
I plan to get a beach cruiser some day, with a wicker basket and a warning bell. :)
Looks like fun. I'm glad you arranged perfect weather for him. ;-)

I know, right? Perfect weather, the whole time he was down here. He left this morning, and now we've got a "weather front" moving in. Temps are dipping into the low 60s today, & rain's in the forecast for tomorrow. It's a metaphor, I tell ya, for the tears I tried to hide when he left.

Great pics! I hope you had a wonderful visit with David!
We had a spectacular visit! I only wish he could've stayed longer. But duty calls me back to the computer this overcast morning...
And duty calls me back to the nuthouse...but tomorrow I'll be joining you at the keyboard!
Oh what fun! Here you were with David in sunny CA and I was up in sunny (amazingly!) Seattle with Sophie. Aren't those visits just the best. :) I'm so happy the weather was perfect and that you had a good time together. xoxo
