It *was* a beautiful day. I was at the Getty yesterday, and it was crowded. Looks like there was a big crowd there, too.

Downtown. They had a Vermeer painting on exhibit that my sister (an amateur artist) wanted to see. I admired the view from the hilltop again. :>)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's unique to this area, especially this time of year. That's one of the things I really enjoy about the Internet: It offers us the opportunity to visit our friends, from the comfort of our own homes. :)

I don't know if I ever mentioned it--I would expect no one to remember it if I did. But yep, for a year before I married. Every Sunday I would ride my bike the entire length of the bike path, and it was like watching a movie, life was so interesting there.

It *is* a movie set, with a cast of characters like no other. :)

I plan to get a beach cruiser some day, with a wicker basket and a warning bell. :)

I know, right? Perfect weather, the whole time he was down here. He left this morning, and now we've got a "weather front" moving in. Temps are dipping into the low 60s today, & rain's in the forecast for tomorrow. It's a metaphor, I tell ya, for the tears I tried to hide when he left.

Oh what fun! Here you were with David in sunny CA and I was up in sunny (amazingly!) Seattle with Sophie. Aren't those visits just the best. :) I'm so happy the weather was perfect and that you had a good time together. xoxo
