I'm forever grateful for the warmth and light L.K. Madigan shared with me, and for the beautiful stories she gave the world.  And while I'm heartbroken about Lisa's passing, I'm glad for the life-affirming Book of Love we put together on her behalf. In revisiting everyone's words and images, I'm finding peace--and also, joy.

This slideshow contains some of the myriad expressions of love we've included in Lisa's album. Individually, these images represent our connections to Lisa; together, they depict the bond of friendship we all share. I invite you to browse them at your leisure, in hopes you'll find some measure of comfort herein--and perhaps (re)discover a few reasons to celebrate, as well.   

Rest assured, everyone's submissions were included in Lisa's album, even if Photobucket wouldn't allow me to upload all the pages for this slideshow.

The pictures themselves are wonderful, but it's the sentiments behind the Book of Love that bring me to my knees. They speak to me of joy, of sadness...of dark times and a Light that's never extinguished. And love. Lots and lots of love.

I didn't know her on LJ, but I'm sure I spoke to her a few times at Verla's. My prayers are with her family and all her friends. May comfort and peace find them. <3

Thank you. It took a long while before I could come back to respond to all these beautiful, heartfelt comments. But believe you me, I felt everyone's love and compassion. I suspect that Lisa's loved ones felt it, too.

Wow, this is shocking and devastating, even though I didn't know her personally. It's a terrible loss, but one with a beautiful legacy. We should all be so lucky to be so lovingly remembered in our passing.
